Receiving a partial payment upon signing of the contract assures us of the sincerity of our customers and allows us to schedule a date to begin your job. It also protects both Outback Creations and you as as customer by not having any surprises on completion of the project. Back to Top Are you licensed and insured? Yes, we are licensed and insured. A certificate of insurance is available upon request. We are also registered with local towns. Most building departments require a contractor to have on record both a copy of liability and compensation insurance. Back to Top How are changes handled? All changes to the original contract will be written up in a separate contract and approved and signed by both parties. This will make certain that all are aware of the final cost of the project. Back to Top What is a replacement window? It is a window that is custom built to fit within the opening of an existing window. All of our replacement windows are built to fit precisely. When qualified craftsmen take the exact measurements the windows can be installed without disturbing the interior and exterior areas around the original window. The more distant, the more travel time and fuel needed. Someone has to reimburse Outback Creations for a least part of our expenses so we are forced to pass it on to our customers. Back to Top How many estimates should I obtain before I decide? We would like to believe, only one, the one you receive from Outback Creations, but in reality, I  suggest three. Nothing makes us look better than our competition. It is also important not to base your final decision on price alone. Sometimes the old adage, “you get what you pay for”, rings true and is not worth the gamble. Make sure that your  contractor has references, reviews, a website or go on a recommendation from a friend or family member Back to Top Do I have to get permits for repairs? Typically repairs do not require permits. However, new installations and larger jobs do the need building department's approval. We will obtain all necessary permits for you or if choose you can take care of them yourself . The only time that it is totally up to you to obtain your permit is when it for a shed. Back to Top
